Hi everyone!
I was debating on what to post next when I realised I had spent three days of my life at a festival and not just any festival, Scotland's biggest!
So this is my post on T in the Park and with that, what to bring to a festival like T in the Park because I was very clueless when I was packing and I know the essentials now!
The first thing you have to bring to a music festival is water, lots and lots of water. Even if it's empty water bottles, bring them because with the heat and various other factors you will get dehydrated and fast; because let's be honest, if you're jumping about in sweaty crowds the last thing you want to do is be ill. There will be water points to refill your bottles as well. So water is point 1. The next I'd say food and baby wipes, you don't know how well meat could be cooked at some of these stalls and food poisoning is a no go. Baby wipes is purely for the fact there is a lack of showers; however if you do go to T in the Park you can get a Refresh band for free showers/bathrooms/hairdryers etc which is brilliant and makes it so much better. But I still used baby wipes as well as having a Refresh band, because the dirt was like sand and kept being blown about and stuck to your face and your clothes. It's a horrible feeling.
For clothing, I'd say keep an eye on the Weather forecast, because I brought wellies but I rarely wore them because it was so hot, especially for Scotland! So I just wore a pair of brown ankle boots with my shorts. Because the weather was the way it was, I felt safest in shorts and worn some vintage Levi shorts that had been dyed pink and blue. Crop tops were another thing I couldn't get enough of, as I'd planned my outfits out before I packed. Thinking back, I do wish I had a pair of dungarees or a few skater dresses with me because seeing people in their full festival gear made me so jealous at how well dressed they were. My friend had a pair of dungarees and she looked so cute and festivally!
However, saying that when you're dancing about in the crowds you will lose things. I lost about 3 pairs of sunglasses and nearly my headband, which was mainly at Calvin Harris when I was nearly in a most pit because I refused to move while I videoed him. So if you wear a hat or anything keep a good hold of it, because it's likely the crowds will take it.
Calvin Harris - one of my highlights!
The Script - Danny phoned a girls ex and sang to him for being so horrible to her. It was so funny and such a good memory.
Rihanna - insane.
The Lumineers - one of my favourites, the pianist high-fived me at the end!
Two Door Cinema Club
The Killers - Brandon Flowers singing 'When You Were Young' my favourite song of all time. The best.
The Afterburner - a massive tower with a Dj inside with flashing lights and flames.
And so T said goodbye.
Last picture is my with my baby Ben Howard painted on a tower - wish he had been there
All in all, it was one of the best weekends of my life and truly amazing. For all of you that are undecided on going to a festival - just do it, because you have no idea how insane and brilliant the experience is, you see so many bands and acts live, it's honestly unmissable.
I hope you all liked this post; give me feedback if you want. I'll be posting again soon guys!
